Our First Post!

For my entire life, I had heard about Dereshova, this little village in Ukraine (that was part of Russia at the time) where my mother's mother and her mother were born and had always been curious about it. Finally, in the spring of 2008, my wife said, "If you are so curious about this place, why don't we just go and see it for ourselves!"

After moths of planning, we took this pilgrimage to my ancestral homeland. Then on Sunday July 20, 2008, there we stood; in Dereshova. Our objective was not to conduct any genealogical research, but rather to "walk where they walked", and that we did.
